Tauber Institute students show how companies can save millions

Photo courtesy of Dani SimmondsPhoto courtesy of Dani SimmondsANN ARBOR—early three dozen teams of business and engineering students at the University of Michigan’s Tauber Institute for Global Operations will present ways that some of the world’s largest corporations can save money in their operations during Spotlight! 2011, held 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Four Points by Sheraton in Ann Arbor.

The student teams will compete for scholarships and showcase their projects completed during 14-week, paid summer internships at companies such as Boeing, BorgWarner, Cisco, Dell, Dow, Federal-Mogul, Ford, General Mills, General Motors, Masco, Meritor, Microsoft, OfficeMax, PepsiCo, Pfizer, UPS, Whirlpool and more.

 

The Tauber Institute for Global Operations is a joint program of the U-M Ross School of Business and College of Engineering. It provides training and skills to graduate business and engineering students in operations. For more information, visit: http://www.tauber.umich.edu/
