Conference on business in Southeast Asia, held May 13-14

ANN ARBOR—The University of Michigan Business School will host its eighth biennial Southeast Asia Business Research Conference
The conference will feature panels of scholars from Southeast Asia, other Pacific-rim nations and the United States. Topics include: foreign direct investment; accounting issues; financial institutions and markets; small and medium enterprises and urban employment; and corporate ethics, social responsibility and the environment.

The conference is free to U-M faculty, staff and students, but those attending must register by e-mailing conference organizer Karen Berwald at keb@umich.edu by May 10. All non-U-M affiliates must pay a $60 registration fee.

Sponsors include the Southeast Asia Business Program, Journal of Asian Business, Center for International Business Education, U-M Business School Executive Education and the International Institute.
