Whodunit? Murder at the League

ANN ARBOR—The fifth anniversary of Lord Rutherford’s death approaches, and Lady Rutherford has booked the Michigan League’s Vandenberg Room at the University of Michigan for her annual dinner in commemoration of the event. This year, the public is invited.

“Murder in the Vandenberg Room” is the second dinner theater presentation offered by the Friends of the Michigan League.

As guests mingle on the League’s concourse and sip champagne, they will try to decide who among them are actors. Suddenly, a gunshot rings out, resulting in the evening’s first corpse, to be removed quickly so that guests can be summoned to Lady Rutherford’s filet mignon dinner; vegetarian menus available, of course.

During dinner, a detective reveals himself and begins the investigation. Clues seem to be everywhere, some real, others red herrings. In the end, all is known and justice prevails.

The program begins at 7 p.m.; tickets at $45 are available for the Nov. 7 performance only and seating is limited. To make reservations, call the Friends Office, (734) 647-7463, or e-mail Ginger Sissom at gsissom@umich.edu.
