U-M experts available to discuss French election

ANN ARBOR—University of Michigan experts are available to discuss the French election.

They include:

Joshua Cole, associate professor of history, can discuss French politics. His interests include French social and cultural history, gender, colonial violence and politics of memory. He can be reached at (734) 763-4159 or joshcole@umich.edu.

William Adams, professor of economics, can discuss the French economy. He studies and teaches industrial organization (the sources and uses of market power) and the European economy (European economic integration and the French economy). His monograph, “Restructuring the French Economy: Government and the Rise of Market Competition since World War II,” is cited by economists, historians and political scientists on both sides of the Atlantic. Kathryn Dominguez, professor of public policy and economics at the Ford School, can discuss the French financial situation. Her research interests include topics in international financial markets and macroeconomics.
