U-M experts available to discuss Chinese vice president’s visit to U.S.

ANN ARBOR—Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping, widely expected to be his country’s next leader, on Tuesday meets with President Obama. University of Michigan experts are available to discuss the key political, economic and security issues in the U.S.-China relationship.

The experts include:

Mary Gallagher, director of U-M’s Center for Chinese Studies, can discuss the U.S.-China relationship. She is an associate professor of political science whose research areas are Chinese politics; comparative politics of transitional and developing states; law and society. Linda Y.C. Lim, professor of strategy at the Ross School of Business, can take questions about the economic and trade relationship between the United States and China.
