ANN ARBOR—University of Michigan experts are available to discuss Super Bowl commercials and other football topics, such as concussions and economic issues.

Christie Nordhielm, associate professor of marketing at the Michigan Ross School of Business, is a nationally recognized marketing consultant and trainer and a former account executive for Chicago-based advertising firm Leo Burnett, where she worked on the Nestle, Keebler and Star-Kist accounts. Tim O’Day is executive director of the Yaffe Center for Persuasive Communications at the Michigan Ross School of Business. Jeffrey Kutcher, M.D., directs the Michigan Neurosport Concussion Program at U-M and is an associate professor of neurology. He is the team neurologist for the U-M athletic programs, director of the concussion program for the NBA and a consultant to the NHL Players Association. Steven Broglio, assistant professor at the U-M School of Kinesiology, conducts research on concussions and brain injuries that has drawn national and international attention. A certified athletic trainer, Broglio is doing research on high school football players who wear helmets outfitted with wireless sensors to determine the impact and effects of concussions. Jason Winfree, associate professor of sport management at the U-M School of Kinesiology, is an expert in industrial organization and environmental and resource economics. A nationally known authority in sports economics, Winfree provides opinions in legal cases concerning sports issues, helped develop a report for the Detroit Pistons concerning the economic impact of a new sports arena in Detroit, and conducted statistical analysis on the customer database for the Pistons.
