EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT

DATE: 9 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014

EVENT: Students will present their research findings at the annual Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program spring symposium.

The event provides a unique window into the diverse research, scholarship and creative activities that take place at the University of Michigan in all fields and disciplines from the biological sciences to theater and dance. It is free and open to the public.

UROP creates research partnerships between first- and second-year students and faculty, research scientists and staff from across the U-M community. All schools and colleges are active participants in UROP, providing a wealth of research topics from which a student can choose.

Celebrating its 25th year, UROP began in 1989 with 14 student/faculty partnerships. Today, about 1,300 students and more than 700 faculty researchers are engaged in research partnerships.
